In the late 1990’s Giant was one of San Francisco’s most notorious and active graffiti and tattoo artists. His unique style soon attracted attention worldwide and he enjoyed several successful shows in Paris, New York, London, Melbourne, Tokyo and Barcelona. Giant met up with brains behind the popular street art website HiFiArt, Joshy D. Joshy D already had experienced in the fashion industry (with street clothing company Teamwolf) and approached Giant to design a series of hand illustrated t-shirts. Joshy D. sold these designs around the city and they were soon in fierce demand. The seed for a new cutting edge clothing brand was sown and from just $500 and a few bags of t-shirts Rebel8 was born.
